Getting started with SilverStripe CMS & Sapphire Framework
Sapphire is an object-oriented PHP5 web application framework, based on a Model-View-controller (MVC) architecture. SilverStripe CMS is built on this powerful, and soon standalone framework that gives developers complete flexibility of design and feature set. Weʼll run through a SilverStripe installation, project setup, and then dive into extending the CMS.

While the debate on “whether or not your nonprofit needs a website has been settled and filed, the debate on which content management system (CMS) is still wide open. There are a multitude of content management systems (CMS), all offering various benefits for you and your organization. This presentation will discuss ExpressionEngine as one of the many CMSs for you to choose from. It will offer a brief comparison to WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal; tips and techniques on choosing a web developer, future proofing your website, and more.
