This page will eventually describe how to help out an existing community or create your own group. If you are organizing a technology oriented group in the 608 area and would like to have it listed on this site you can do apply to be an Organizer by going to your account settings and clicking on "Apply for role". Once you have been approved you can create a profile for the group.
